We’re in the weeks leading up to Father’s Day! Woot Woot! Queue the dance music. It’s time to think about Father’s Day gift ideas!

Actually, we don’t really celebrate Father’s Day (or Mother’s Day) in this household. It’s one of those Hallmark holidays that we don’t put much effort into acknowledging. Having said that, I WILL admit that for my first Mother’s Day, I was fully expecting something special…and got nothing.

NOTHING!

What was I really expecting? We don’t do these holidays, including Valentine’s Day and St. Patrick’s Day, etc…so why would I expect something different for my Mother’s Day?

**I’m making a side eye roll face here, because when you carry and bring two human lives into the world, I think you deserve a special day**

The husband’s argument is that these things should not be relegated to just ONE day in the year. If we feel like appreciating each other and gifting each other something, we should any time of the year.

Okay, okay, I will give him that one.

So, while we don’t make it a thing, if you want to gift the dads in your life any day of the year or specifically on Father’s Day, I’ve curated this gift guide for you! All items have been Dad-Approved by my husband. Click through the image to shop!

1.Stylish Adidas Ultraboost Runners: we have a huge love of Ultraboosts in this family! The husband and I each have several pairs, because they are just THAT COMFORTABLE. Like walking on a cloud. You really cannot have too many (and my husband has proven this. #smallclosetproblems).

2.Philips Shaver: this is my husband’s favourite. For a close shave, he doesn’t trust any other brand to do the job.

3.Samsung Galaxy Smart Watch: my husband recently got this watch and he’s loving it. It tracks sleep, vibrates when it’s time to get moving, includes guided meditation and breathing exercises to reduce stress. Text messages can also be received on the watch, so if I’m stuck somewhere in the house with baby and need help, he’ll never miss a message from me!

4.Yeti Rambler: we bought these for when we go camping, but my husband loves it so much that he’s brought it into the house to use year round.

5.Beats Headphones: I’ve mentioned before that we’re a bed-sharing family. So whenever the husband wants to watch a late night movie in bed, these headphones are perfect for it. They offer excellent sound and allows him to enjoy his movies without fear of disturbing our sleep. The noise-cancelling feature also allows him to not be disturbed by crying babies!

6.Cute Onesies for Baby: these are so adorable and will put a smile on any doting dad’s face. I love the “I Love My Dads” onesie! So fitting for Pride month.

7.Boxing Gloves: after the Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul match, who wouldn’t want to take up boxing!?

8.Brushless Impact Drill: every dad should have one of these. Whether they are handymen or not!

9.Vinyl Record Player: did you know that vinyl records are making a huge comeback? This record player is one of our most-used items in the house. Although we live in a digital age, nothing beats the tactileness of handling a vinyl.

10.Fun Socks: I’ve come to learn that every man appreciates a good pair of high-quality fun-printed socks. And Star Wars stuff. These Stance socks are one of the best brands you can buy that combines both!

11.Whiskey Stones: if the dad you’re gifting for is a whiskey drinker, then these stones are a must. They are designed to cool down a drink without diluting it as what happens when ice melts.

12.Ugg Scuff Slippers: I was gifted a pair of Scuffette slippers for my birthday. When the husband saw them, he got jealous and insisted we go pick up a pair for him. He loves these for wintertime. They’re also great for hot summer days when we have the central air conditioning blasting.

13.Ugg Ascot Slippers: another style of Ugg slippers in case the dad in your life wants to switch up his at-home footwear game. These ones lend a more sophisticated air.

14.Books to Read to Baby: it melts my heart watching my husband read books to the babies. I didn’t understand the charm of “Dada” until we had our first. It is honestly a HUGE hit! And “Darth Vader and Son” is just too awesome not to have in your collection.

15.Herschel Novel Duffle Bag: my husband loves this duffle so much that he bought two. These bags are fantastic quality and the colour combos are beautiful! Very roomy for everything he needs for a weekend getaway.

16.Everlast Cardio Training Kit: this is something my husband does not have yet. While I will not be buying it for him for Father’s Day (he shall receive nothing!), I might pick this up for myself because it’s pretty cool!
